Racing (Parimutuel) | The parimutuel system of racing is often used in gambling on horse racing, greyhound racing and other sporting events where participants finish in a ranked order. This type of gambling is offered at facilities that are often state-regulated and at places where gambling is otherwise considered illegal. There are also “off track” facilities that offer parimutuel gambling.
There are many places within the United States that have horse racetracks, but some of the major tracks in the US are located at Saratoga Springs, Churchill Downs and Belmont Park. Many countries participate in greyhound racing, but it is most popular in the United States, Australia, Ireland, United Kingdom and New Zealand. There are currently 13 greyhound racing tracks in the United States. With the array of facilites in the racing industry, there are many opportunites for one seeking a job.
