Baseball

Baseball is known as America’s Pastime and has been at the forefront of pro sports, since it originated at the professional level in the late 1800’s. Major League Baseball (MLB) is comprised of two divisions, the National League and the American League, which are each segmented into three subdivisions. Currently, baseball makes up 20 percent of the sporting industry and has become largely popular in other countries as well.

Baseball is played at a number of levels, by amateurs and professionals, therefore creating a surplus of job opportunities. For example, Minor League Baseball competes at a level below that of the Major League, and operates as an affiliate. This current system develops players at many different levels, thus opening up many job opportunities at levels such as A, AA, AAA, and the rookie system.
