Mark A. Tudi, President
SPORTS CAREERS

Mark Tudi is the Founder of SPORTS CAREERS and SPORTSEARCH, with its primary business activities being retained executive recruitment and professional development. Founded in 1988 as a part of SPORTS CAREERS, SPORTSEARCH specializes in sourcing the critical layer of management and customized search assignments, focused in the Sports, Entertainment and Leisure Time industries.

For over 30 years, Mark has established a high-profile track record in sports career development, closing in on 700 successful placements at all executive levels. He has represented the career interests and managed opportunities for many of the leading executives, personalities and organizations in Sports.

Earlier, Mark created SPORTS CAREERS, an industry-wide educational program designed to help qualified and interested individuals develop a career path and has been credited with establishing the career development movement in sports. In 1990, he successfully financed the business through the ownership group of the Phoenix Suns, led by Jerry Colangelo, which was later sold to the Franklin Covey Corporation and established as a job board on CBS Sportsline.com. Later, Mark established SportsJobs.com, a career management website that was the exclusive career development and jobs partner of ESPN.com.

Most recently, Mark has founded the Sports & Entertainment Human Resource Forum (SEHRF) to build professional recognition and a unified Industry association for today’s Human Resource Managers, Hiring Authorities and Employers. In addition, he has developed an online employment resource program, and re-acquired SPORTSCAREERS.com, which includes a proprietary candidate-to-job matching technology and a private recruiting environment where Employers and candidates connect confidentially.

At the age of 23, Mark started his own sporting goods sales agency and helped build the annual sales volume to over $100 million for two of the nation’s leading manufacturers’ rep firms. His client list includes members of the Sporting Goods Manufacturers’ Association (SGMA), the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA), the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), over 200 Professional Teams, Leagues and Sports Marketing Organizations, as well as several leading Corporate Empires in Sports.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University majoring in Journalism and Business Administration, Mark has written over 150 articles and made over 200 radio, television and speaking appearances, including two years as co-host of the Sports Club’s Career Hour on the Business Radio Network. He is an Advisory Board Member, Visiting Professor of Practice and Student Mentor for the Arizona State University MBA Sports Business Program. In addition, Mark is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Maricopa County Sports Commission, and founded its Student-Athlete Leadership Conference.

Some of Mark’s personal accomplishments include a 31+ year marriage with three children, successful rehabilitation from a fractured neck, coaching a three-time state champion youth soccer team, and is a founding board member and original Executive Director of the National Pain Foundation.
