Fox Sports Net Detroit is current searching for a Writer/Producer/Editor. This position is responsible for writing, producing and editing all topical on-air promotions for FSN Detroit. This position is located in Southfield, Michigan.
Responsibilities:
Writes, produces and edits all assigned topical promotions and creative services needs on the AVID Adrenaline non-linear editing system utilizing the promotional toolkit provided.
Maintains a comprehensive and current knowledge of professional and collegiate sports that are represented by the FSN Detroit.
Supervises and directs voiceover sessions with talent. Executes music searches and determines appropriate cuts, as assigned.
Assists in the production of promo templates for promotional toolboxes and directs promotional shoots, as necessary.
Remains informed of industry trends in desktop video production and on-air promotions.
Continuously develops knowledge and technical understanding of non-linear editing system.[/li]
Requirements:
Bachelors degree plus a minimum of 2+ years experience with non-linear editing systems, AVID line of equipment, is necessary.
Proven creative vision with the ability to utilize existing sports highlights and graphic elements to consistently produce compelling and captivating on-air promotions is needed.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and produce creative, quality product under tight deadline pressure is essential. The ability to handle constructive criticism is required.
Must have solid, in-depth knowledge of professional and college sports covered by FSN Detroit.
Good oral communication skills are needed. Excellent writing skills and writing experience are required.
Good organizational and project management skills are necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook is needed.
